Inspired by the 1999 United Nations Declaration and Program of Action on a Culture of Peace, the mission of this series is to raise awareness of the set of values, attitudes, modes of behavior and ways of life that reject violence and prevent conflicts by tackling their root causes to solve problems through dialogue and negotiation among individuals, groups and nations.
This series brings together the ideas of leaders from all walks of life. From academics to filmmakers, ex-gang members to Nobel Peace Prize Laureates and youth leaders to atomic bomb survivors, a broad spectrum of voices have contributed to this eclectic and thought provoking series.
We hope that you will leave with renewed confidence that a culture of peace is possible, a necessity for life on earth and apply what you learn in meaningful ways to your own family, workplace, school and community. Please check this page frequently for video updates. |
